Perth to Kalbarri
Our first stop today is the amazing Lancelin sand dunes to experience the unique sport of sand boarding, a great way to start the day! Then it’s back on the bus for a drive up the coast to the impressive Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park. We enjoy a fully guided tour through these amazing limestone formations and drop in at the Discovery Centre, before we have lunch by the sea. After a sightseeing stop in the town of Geraldton it’s on to Big River Ranch for some true blue Aussie hospitality and our overnight stay.

This morning meet the famous Monkey Mia Dolphins and get some amazing photos. Then join any of the optional activities or just chill out on the beach or at the resort. We visit the breathing rock formations ‘Stromatolites’ before we settle in to our accommodation in Coral Bay, located right on the famous Ningaloo Reef!

Today we visit the marvels of The Murchison Gorge, Natures Window and Z-Bend in Kalbarri National Park. Here you have the option to try abseiling! Cool off with a swim in the Murchison River before we’re back on the bus and travel north to Shell Beach and Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort for our accommodation.

Today enjoy free time to experience the many great tours and activities Coral Bay has to offer, with special discounts available as an Aussie Wanderer passenger! Go for a stroll on the beach and check out the shark nursery, swim with the manta rays, hang out at the local or go for a snorkel on the Ningaloo Reef only meters from shore. This evening we take the short drive up the peninsular to Exmouth and check in our accommodation.

Today is yours to join any of the optional activities available or enjoy a fully guided tour of Cape Range National park, a spectacular place of rugged limestone ranges, breathtaking deep canyons and 50km of pristine beaches. Experience snorkelling at the stunning Turquoise Bay (snorkel hire $10), visit Vlamingh Head Lighthouse and lookout, Milyearing Visitors Centre and more before we return to our accommodation.

This morning sees us arrive at 80 Mile Beach for some awesome photos! When we arrive in Broome we take you for a tour around town before we check in at our accommodation, The Kimberley Klub Backpackers.

Up early we travel east through station country and stop at Tom Price, the highest town in Western Australia. Here we get our supplies before we head to the amazing Karijini National Park. We stay at the multi award winning Karijini Eco Retreat in Eco Safari Tents with your own verandah, quality beds, linen and hot showers!

The next 2 days give us plenty of time to explore Karijini National Park and to enjoy 2.5 billion years of evolution and 40.000 years of culture. We visit and hike the gorges, swim in amazing rock pools, stand under waterfalls and explore intriguing rock formations including Hancock Gorge, Weano Gorge and its adventurous Handrail Pool, Dales Gorge, Circular Pool, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool and more. Then late on the second day we travel further north to Pardoo Roadhouse and check in our tents or swags for a night of camping under the stars.

The next two days enjoy free time and all that Broome has to offer! Go for a swim at the stunning Cable Beach, explore China Town and its pearling history, watch a movie at the world’s oldest open air cinema or ride a camel on the beach with sunset! Ask your tour guide for any assistance with booking tours. Then check out the cultural variety of eating venues for your lunches and dinners or cook your own at the hostel.

Departing Broome early we head east towards the Gibb River Road and arrive at Windjana Gorge in the Napier Ranges for lunch. After lunch we explore the gorge to view the native birds and resident freshwater crocodiles.This afternoon we explore Tunnel Creek, an ancient reef system which is said to have existed 350 million years ago – before heading to Silent Grove for our first night at our campsite under the stars.
Enjoy waking up to the wilderness so very far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Today you will explore more of the region’s gorges including Bell, Galvans and Manning. The water levels at the time of your journey will determine which gorges you visit however each are unique and special in their own right. After a day of walking and swimming in these magnificent natural attractions we travel to our overnight location of Mount Elizabeth Station.

Heading further east we explore, swim and hike this amazing part of the world. drive across the Pentacost River and visit the beautiful Emma Gorge before arriving at El Questro for our first of two nights in this outback oasis.

The Bungle Bungles

Today we make our way to Purnululu National Park home of the workd famous Bungle Bungles. This afternoon we begin exploring the amazing sandstone formations of Echidna Chasm before giving the 4WD a hard-earned rest and settle into camp for a relaxing evening.
This morning we explore Picanninny Creek, The Domes and Cathedral Gorge with plenty of opourtunities to take amazing photos of the famous 'beehive' shaped domes. There is also the option to take a helicopter ride over the domes. Definatley one to tick off the bucket list! We then head towards Kununurra and make camp at the Argyle Tourist Village.

This tour includes hikes up to 8 kms per day and is recommended for active travelers who want to experience the wild nature of Western Australia. If you enjoy hiking through gorges and swimming through waterfalls, this tour is for you. Extreme temperatures can be experienced while travelling in the outback (very hot in summer and very cold in winter). Please bring a small day pack for use when hiking and a pair of hiking boots is recommended.

Our final day sees us visit one of the Northern Territory’s most stunning areas, Nitmiluk National Park with its towering cliff walls and meandering waterways. We visit Edith Falls before arriving in Darwin in the early evening.

This morning we explore Australia’s largest man-made lake, Lake Argyle. Take an optional cruise on the lake, visit the Dam wall and have lunch by the Ord River before we cross the border into the Northern Territory and set up camp at Victoria River.
